Extra Curricular Activities

The Learning Tree also offers a Karate Class and a Dance Class to students for an additional fee.

Little Dragons Karate:

This 30 minute class consists of stretching and strengthening exercises, motor skills development, Korean language / terminology, defensive techniques, safety awareness and games to make it fun.

Stardreams:

This 45 minute class consists of dance, gymnastics, tumbling, rhythm and good old moving to the music. This company also offers a Holiday Dance Observation at the school, as well as a Summertime Dance production.

Programs

Pre-Kindergarten

Pre-Kindergarten is a 5 day program allowing children to move at a faster pace for Kindergarten preparation. Full or Half days are available. Children entering Pre-Kindergarten must be 4 years of age by September 1st and fully toilet trained.

Small group sizes designed to focus on a well balanced program providing social development, reading readiness with Zoo Phonics, early math and number sense, number and shape recognition, pattern discrimination, art and science, cooking, gardening, language development, small and large muscle development, computers and supervised free play.

Pre-School

Pre-School is a program for children who are at least 3 years of age by September 1st and are fully toilet trained. A child may attend Tue/Thurs, Mon/Wed/Fri, or 5 days. Full or Half days are available.

Small group sizes designed to focus on social development, language development, reading readiness with Zoo Phonics, number identification, art and fine motor skills, shape and color recognition, large and small muscle development, sharing, taking care of their environment, dress-up and supervised free play.

Pre-School Tots
Children in this program must be 2 years of age to start school. Toilet training is offered in this program. A child may attend Tue/Thurs, Mon/Wed/Fri, or 5 days. Full or Half days are available.

The goal of this program is to build strong and trusting relationships while fostering a child's individual need for self-development and expression. Social skills are learned through exploration of their environment and through guided lessons with their caregiver. Daily activities include: beginning phonics, number and letter

identification, shape and color recognition, stories, art, music,

sensory activities, indoor and outdoor supervised free play.

Toddler Program (Starting at 18 months)

Children in this program must be 18 months old to start school. A child may attend Tue/Thurs, Mon/Wed/Fri, or 5 FULL days.

Designed with a close bonding relationship in mind, the Toddler Class has a cozy 6 to 1 ratio. The goal of this program is to socialize, develop language skills, encourage growth and expression, and accustom to daily school life. Curriculum consists of introduction to letters and numbers, shape and color recognition, stories, art, music, sensory activities, indoor and outdoor supervised play.
